Near Camping Benelux, where the tents of HolidayTent are standing, are four sandy beaches: Castell, La Fosca, Cala Estreta (with a nudist area) and the beach of Palamós. You can also choose between numerous rocky criques.
Facilities at the beach
Some resorts are crowded and have all kinds of services such as parking, showers, changing rooms and lifeguards. The beaches are all classified by the EU with a Blue Flag. Other beaches are located in old fisherman’s villages that have retained their original charm. Also, there are virtually untouched places with few tourists.
The larger beaches and the marinas in Palamós and Palafrugell offer you the possibility to rent a kayak, motorboat or sailboat. You will find there diving clubs and also boat excursions with a guide are regularly organized. In any case, you can undertake activities along the entire coast: fishing, sailing, snorkelling, scuba diving and more.
Platja de Castell
This beautiful beach is very popular among the locals. Although, despite its many visitors, it will never have the impression that it is too crowded. The beach is ideal to go with children because the sea is not deep. The beach is situated in a nature reserve and is not surrounded by apartment buildings. The beach is 500 meters away from the campsite and is easily accessible by car, bicycle or on foot.
La Fosca
Certainly, the most beautiful bay on the Costa Brava. Just like Platja de Castell, La Fosca is also very suitable for children. The sea, with its crystal clear water, is calm and the beach slopes very gradually. There are nice beach bars to get some food and drinks. Parking is free in the neighbourhood.
